Hey y'all
As we discussed the various options regarding website and blogs to advertise but also evaluate the progress of each individual project I have been looking into various options that we can use.
The best example I can think of that would work well for what we want to do is the same type of blog that the SAP scheme was hosted on last year...Wordpress
http://studentacademicpartners.co.uk/
thats a link to that blog. What I like about it is that each project (mentor) has their own sub-blog within a larger blog so there are loads of contributors and its easy to refer back to particular pieces of work. Also the tabs mean that we can have a home page saying what it is all about, we can have a tab for a news feed, maybe one for useful links or something like that.
Have a look and let us know what you think. The other contender is something like this which is easy but is essentially chronological, or posterous where people can just email updates to an address and it uploads so it is fairly simple.
I have made preliminary contact with the Tutor and Student (Jon Hickman and Nick Moreton) who set the SAP blog up and it seems like it will be a possibility that they can set something similar up for us fairly easy by just dragging the same format across.

Hi Luke,
ReplyDeleteI agree i think that the SAP blog is a good idea and can work well with regards to what were trying to do.
However, i also like how simple the idea of e-mailing updates. Is their not a way that the two can be combined?
